24 July The Survivor


Hong Kong just went through the strongest storm in the past 10 years. I am not sure of the storm naming convention, but this one, Typhoon Vincente, was given the highest category 10 rating by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The tyhoon left much of Lamma Island (and Hong Kong) where I live a mess. This Praying Mantis somehow survived.

He/She looks pretty chuffed and deserves to be. This critter managed to hold on all night to the awning on the balcony during the storm. What a survivor.
